Summary of Monkey Paks Tactical Backpack Review:
I like the fact that Monkey Paks’ large tactical backpack provides lots of storage options. For example, you can use the bag in its entirety and go for a multi-day camping trip. With lots of separate compartments, you can pack lots of gear while keeping everything well-organized and easy=to-find.
On the other hand, you can detach the outer back pocket and use it separately as a fanny pack for everyday use. In fact, the fanny pack is plenty large enough to be used as a rugged and durable purse (for the outdoorsy types).
Basically, the “Big Monkey” provides multiple packs in one purchase (a significant cost savings!). If you plan on using your backpack for multiple purposes, this can be a great deal.
Although designed as assault military-style backpacks, some people use them for school, work or to take to the gym. Many people prefer them over traditional backpacks because they have so many pockets. They work great at preventing small items from getting lost.
Plus, they tend to be sturdier and, of course, definitely have style. =)
How to Wash to Monkey Paks Backpack:
You can wash the backpack, however, you may want to stick to hand washing. The fabric has a water-repellent coating that over time will wear off faster if you machine wash the bag instead of hand wash.
Having said that, the water repellent coating works in your favor to keep the pack cleaner in the first place. Therefore, you may only find the need to spot-treat or rinse off you backpack fro time to time.
